What to Wear for Little Legends
Your kiddo’s outfit is a huge part of the vibe — but don’t stress. Whether you lean timeless or go all-out quirky, both options are completely welcome here. Let’s find the look that fits your little legend best.
The Classic Legend
Want that bold, clean, timeless black & white feel? This is the go-to.
Stick to:
- Neutral tones (white, black, gray, denim, cream, tan)
- Solid colors — no busy prints or logos
- Textures like cotton, knit, or linen
- Simple outfits that let their expressions shine
Think: a soft cotton tee, overalls, a flowy dress, or a classic button-up — effortless and iconic.
The True-to-You Legend
This one’s for the kids with BIG personalities and very specific outfit preferences (you know the ones 😄).
Think:
- The dinosaur hoodie they refuse to take off
- That sparkly dress they twirl in every morning
- Cowboy boots with gym shorts
- Superhero capes, princess crowns, or wild pajamas
If it’s their favorite thing ever — bring it! This session is about capturing who they are right now, quirks and all.
Bonus Tip: Can’t Decide?
Bring both! If time allows, we might be able to sneak in a quick switch or use the second outfit as a prop.
A Few Things to Avoid:
- Big logos or super busy cartoon shirts (they can distract in B&W)
- Bright neons
- Super busy patterns
At the end of the day, the best outfit is the one that makes your kid feel happy, confident, and 100% themselves. 💛

How long is each session?
Each session is about 15 minutes of pure personality! Quick, fun, and packed with all the magic we need.
Can I bring more than one child?
Yes! Your base session includes one child. You can add more kiddos, a parent, or a sibling for just $30 per additional person. We’ll include a few sweet group shots too.
Can parents join in?
Absolutely! Want to hop in for a quick mama/kid or daddy/kid photo? We’re here for it. Just add yourself as an additional “legend” when booking. 😉
What should my child wear?
Great question! I love the clean, timeless look of simple neutrals, solid colors, and soft textures — they photograph beautifully in black & white and let your child’s expressions shine.
But! I’m also a huge fan of letting their personality come through. Do they have a shirt they refuse to take off? A dress they’d wear every day if you let them? A superhero cape, cowboy boots, or a sparkly tutu? Let them wear that.
This session is all about who they are right now, so feel free to lean into that! You'll get a short style guide after booking with suggestions to help you pick what feels right — classic, quirky, or a little bit of both. 💛
What age is this for?
All ages are welcome — from wobbly toddlers to big kids and even the occasional grown-up “kid.”
For the littlest legends: we just ask that your child has some head control, so we can safely and comfortably photograph them.
👉 If your little one isn't sitting on their own yet, no worries! Just bring a Boppy pillow, an infant seat, or something supportive like a Joovy Walker to help them shine on camera.
We’ll work with whatever stage they’re in — and make it fun, sweet, and totally them. 💛
What if my child is shy (or wild)?
I’ve got you. These sessions are laid-back, fun, and quick — perfect for every kind of kid. Whether they need a moment to warm up or they're bursting with energy, we’ll go with the flow and make sure they leave feeling like a rockstar.
Can they bring props?
YES! We’ll have some fun studio props (like sunnies and hats), but I love when kids bring something personal — a stuffed animal, favorite toy, book, blanket, etc. Whatever makes them feel like them.
Can we get the images in color?
Color photo copies are available for an additional upgrade fee after gallery delivery!
When will we get our images?
You’ll receive your fully edited black & white gallery within 2 weeks of your session — delivered straight to your inbox via an online gallery.
From there, you can download your images, share them, and even order prints directly from your gallery if you'd like!
